Deidré Denise Matthee

Deidré Denise Matthee is a South African Portuguese artist, poet and creative facilitator based at Malmaison Studios in Bucharest. Her diverse artistic background includes narrative and expressive arts therapy; performance art and activism; applied and immersive theatre; and conceptual art. Formerly she was the founder of Picara Creative Workshops, the feminist collective GATA, and cofounder of Bird-shaped Theatre. Since 2020 her focus has been on analog collage, assemblage and mixed media artforms.
